Teddington Harbour Yacht Club is situated on the downstream side of Teddington Lock , opposite the lock island. It was constructed in the year 2000 , in front of the new development that was the Tough Brothers Shipyard on Manor Road, Teddington.

We have 120 metres of pontoon moorings , on 'Walcon' pontoons , with secure gated access with water and electricity available. There is also a fully stocked chandlery 'The Boat Shop' nearby in Ferry Road , selling all aspects of boating gear , including Calor gas. THYC also has its own resident mobile engineers , Grant Marine Services . Please call for details. THYC has a large steamer landing , capable of handling steamers of 100 ft+ , this is bookable by appointment , and is perfectly situated to receive wedding parties to the Wharf Restaurant ( www.thewharfteddington.com ) , also located on site. We are also usually able to accommodate visiting clubs ( pre booked only ) heading either upstream or downstream.
THYC is extremely well located for all aspects of the river , being just on the tideway. The stretch from Teddington Lock to Richmond Lock is half tidal , which means we have a maintained level even at low water , allowing for cruising at all states of the tide. Should you wish to venture further , St Kats is approximately 3 hours downstream and the Thames Barrier 4 ½ hours . If you wish to explore the non-tidal Thames , we are right on top of Teddington Lock - 'The Gateway to the Non-Tidal Thames' , with Hampton Court Palace just an hour away and Windsor Castle approximately 6 hours upstream. Visitors licences are available at the lock. We have other marinas in the local area , Teddington Harbour – in the weirstream , 200 yards upstream of THYC , and Hampton Wick Marina located at Hampton Wick just downstream of Kingston Bridge. Should you wish to enquire about berths at any of the facilities , please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
